I have a 1913 luger and need info pls.

Dear sir,does not the barrel and barrel extension get headspaced as one unit, or does the entire pistol need to be fitted to the barrel?. I do so hope you will accept my dearest apology for daring to think of the pistol in question as a mere firearm that would have interchangability with others of it's kind.
Now with that said, the pistol in the photos above professionally fitted with a proper 4.5" barrel would be what model/designation?. Is it an ex military pistol or is it a commercial pistol?. Now do forgive me for dragging my knuckles on your forum but one must learn to walk sometime.
