Default A very Rare sighting "OFF TOPIC"

We were hunting in the Cascades yesterday and ran across a rare instance. As we rounded a corner on a logging road, we were surprised to see something very out of the ordinary in the middle of the road.

Also, a lesson in Mother Natures camoflage scheme. Can you see them?

The first photo is one leaving. The second photo is of one holding it's position and using it's excellent "you can't see me" camoflage. Any guess as to what they are?

The following photos are of the get away...

The two Cougar/Mountain Lion cubs were playing in the middle of the road. The first one left almost immediately. The other hunkered down and hid in the grass and was nearly invisible. The surrounding brush was very thick and we weren't sure where Mama was, so we kept our eyes open and didn't hang around too long. We assumed that she was probably out hunting, and the cubs decided to go out exploring.

Cougars are prevalant here, but the cubs are seldom , if ever, seen.
