Well Tom Beasley was nice enough to sell me a M1900 American Eagle that was refinished so I could have the early shooter that I was looking for. It arrived today and it's even better than I expected - Thanks Tom !! Anyway, it's perfect except that it's probably going to need mainspring work - knew about this from Tom - but couldn't pass it up.
I can't find the topic that listed what Dwight and/or Ron needed for their respective data bases on these but maybe they already have the info. from Tom? If not, here's are some stats - let me know if you need more. - 1900 AE - eagle is light probably from buffing - dark blue finish - no straw - serial number 8115 - all parts seem to match except grips and extractor - "Germany" on frame - no halo because of refinishing - no proofs on barrel just matching serial number - second type of safety lever - Bobba calls it 1st series, 3rd variation? - 1st series (less wide) grip safety - Swiss Bern 24 grips - no markings - Swiss extractor Hopefully better photos to follow.
