There was some discussion on this forum concerning military Lugers in very good condition and those that obiviously saw a lot of service in the field. This Luger has a lot of history and it shows.
This is a 1917 DWM LP-08 that was purchased in 1995 from the widow of the US Army vet who brought it home. He "picked" it up during the last days of fighting in Germany. It came with an original 1902 Luger carbine stock that I sold off years ago. When I got this Luger, there was a S/E655 Mauser mag in it. All of the other parts are matching. Serial #7066b. Most of the bluing has worn off and it is now covered with a nice patina. If the widow is to be believed, this Luger saw service during both World Wars. Left side
