I just bought a 1914 DWM 9mm Luger (With matching parts and fine original bluing) which I´d like to fire once in a while
(Say about 50 rounds every month) but I´ve read in a Hanguns Magazine about using only Winchester FMJ 115g. ammo because the firing pin can break the primer and damage the gun internal parts. Is this true? Should I replace the original WWI firing pin with a new 3-groove part so gas from a ruptured primer can harmlessly escape? Would it be safe to keep the original firing pin and use only this ammo. Thank you. |
