Greetings and Happy Hunting Season,
A few of you know that I have been looking for a 1906 9mm American Eagle for a long time. You also know that I have passed up some very nice ones because I had my mind made up that I wanted a BUG proofed one to match my 7.65 American Eagle. Well, I just could not pass up the deal I was offered last weekend on a 9mm with no BUG. It meant a 700 mile one way trip, but I swapped two deer rifles and a shotgun for the Luger. I had not shot any one of the three in over 15 years and could not foresee ever shooting them again. And totaling up the dollars I had invested in the three guns, it was an easy decision. Anyway, I would like to present the Luger to you for your evaluation. There is one quirk about it. I donâ??t think it has been refinished. I am about 100% sure of this. I took it to my trusted gunsmith whom I love dearly and trust more. He has been in business about as long as I have been in my business and thatâ??s too long. He says no refinishing. The one imperfection I am talking about is the â??GERMANYâ? is missing. I have studied all the angles and thoughts of how this could have happened, but I come up empty ever time. So I throw it to you with all the pictures. BTW The grips and the magazine are not stamped and the extractor is marked "GELADEN". Please let me know if more pictures are needed. Thanks, Mike ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
