Stock lugs

I could have put this in several areas, but I guess here is best.

The only "Navy" I own is a Mauser commerative. Recently I bought a repro navy stock for it and when I received it found out it doesn't fit the lug.

Measuring a lug on a 1915 DWM I got .294" and and even .300" on the Mauser.

My question is: Are the Mausers different, or did the original navies have a different lug?
