USMC 1911- serial no. 3639

Mine is an early one. There were only 3638 - 1911's produced before mine. Thus the magazine is correct for the pistol shown.

Up to and into WWI, all of the military magazines had loops. Thereafter, the loops were phased out.

The others ones (most of which are 1911A1'a) are much later production and magazines without loops would be proper for them.
