Default DWM 1918 and snail mags

I'm doing some research for a customer and friend. He's got a DWM 1918 that he brought home with him after WW2. The bluing is in 98% but the straw colored parts are very faint. All of the numbers match including the magazine but he is missing the grips, I'm in the process of trying to find him a set. I'm a dealer and collect Colt's but know very little about Lugers. Are all of the 1918 DWM's pretty much the same, no rare models? I guess what I'm trying to find out is, is there anything I should be looking for that makes this DWM worth more than others? He's not interested in selling it but would like to know an appoximate value for insurance purposes.

He also has 3 snail magazines that he is interested in selling. I do not have them in my possession yet but I should have them next week. I will be selling them for him and I'm guessing online would be the best place. I'll also be selling a luger stock for him. Im my opinion a stock on a DWM Luger would not be legal unless he has a tax stamp for it, am I correct?
