I've just been offered an early looking S&W mdl 30, 2" barrel in 32 S&W long.
It has the original box and looks to be about 99% condition wise, with two exceptions; on the back outside edge of the cylinder there is an oval area of blue loss and roughness about 3/16" across and a similar mark on the top of the frame at the back edge of the hammer. They look as though the gun has been stored against something that's produced the marks. The bore / cylinder are shiny clean, timing and lockup are great and the grips unmarked. The owner's asking $210, which strikes me as a little high, given the caliber and blemishes, but he seems quite firm. Any advice as to how much 'to much' his price is ? Thanks, Stu |
