About the wide variety of "Differing Contours".
Do you think that this may have come about by the Old Country In Home Family Business Practice of taking Sub Contracts for Wooden Parts from the Prime Contractor of the Magazines.
And by being Small Contractors that there was a wide allowance for exact dimensions as long as there was a reasonably close appearance of the parts within the contract, and the parts were not distracting in appearance from the assembled weapon ? <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />
This would be especially true In Wartime !
