Post '70's Mauser 9mm '06, right grip "rotating" loose...

I finally finally got out to the range with my 3 acquired Lugers, and the '70's Mauser 6" 9mm '06 shocked me with the first 5 rounds going into the size of a quarter at about 30 yards.

I shot for another few mags and never came that close to those first 5 shots, "wow", surprising accuracy.

With even just a bit of shooting though, the right grip "rotated" forward, the little slot in the upper grip not retaining the grip in the frame, with the grip screw snugged pretty well (don't want to crank it and damage the grip of course).

Maybe this would be a good candidate for Scott H.'s "Hot Glue your Grips" trick? Maybe a bead on both long edges of the grip would keep it located, letting the glue cool slightly then snugging it down, per Scott's suggestion.

Anyone else have "rotating out of socket" grips on their Mauser, any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Frank H. in L.A. (but moving to Oregon soon, might have to sell some stuff to help pay for the move...)
