The holster would have been a later addition unless the original owner dyed it black. The U.S. Army did not start changing over from brown to black until 1956.
I have been collecting the 1911/1911A1 a lot longer than the Luger, and am always interested in buying another. Would you send the serial number range of your pistol along with the other information you have by private e-mail. Who is the maker of the holster?
