WTB Camera, need help!

Hello everyone,

My scanner broke down a week ago and I'm considering buying a numerical camera. I want to be able to do PICS of pistols & close ups of Proofmarks...

I've looked at the following models:

NIKON CoolPix 4300
Canon Powershot G2
Canon Powershot G3

Which one is best? Any comments from equipement used by fellow Forum users?
