Post Goering's Luger?

Now that I'm all stoked about Lugers, I seem to recall a Guns-n-Ammo article from years ago (perhaps '76?) that profiled a gaudy-looking Luger...cover article even.

(Can a Luger be gaudy?)

Silver colored, enbellished pearl grips, pistol very heavily engraved; it was said to be a gift to Hermann Goering from someone (perhaps the factory?).

Lots of pics in the magazine; it showed a red-lined case and was very foo-foo all around.

Anyone heard about this?
