Default 1917 LP-08 Holster by Mil. Effekter/Jul. Richter

A recent purchase is this dated 1917 Artillery hard shell holster by Mil. Effekter/Jul. Richter of Dresden. The condition inside and out is near excellent. The holster came with an Imperial crown/"Z" tool and an original cleaning rod. But what is interesting to me is the full length 3-layer backing. This is often referred to as a "Heavy Duty" hardshell. Edward Sayre's book on Snail Drum and Other Accessories for the Artillery Luger, mentions (p.83) that most of the holsters of this type, heavy duty, are unmarked. Enjoy the pictures.
