Hi.

The Swiss never went to war with them. Switzerland remained neutral so no great war stories or bring back captures.

Since they were well taken care of and not lost or destroyed, all of them made it to the market in above average to excellent condition.

So they are not rare and have no notoriety. That affects the price.

Prices in Europe went up for a short while when they were free to own without a permit in Belgium due to an oversight in their gun laws. But that loophole has been fixed and prices of Swiss luger have gone down quite a bit. They are struggling to bring more than 1000 euros over here. I have a nice 1940s model 29 for sale. Best offer I got to date was 900...
