Had a 9mm Interarms Mauser in the past. The barrel steel was amazing in hardness -- the bore did not show any sign of wearing after I fired more than 1,000 rounds FMJ from it. A brand new Colt I had in the same period of time showed scratches in lands and grooves after firing only 100 rounds in range. Asked the dealer, he said "they are different".... Still missing that Interarms Mauser, everything was great except the front sight did not sit tightly in the front, otherwise, it was perfect. I sold it cheap, but if I look back, I actually damaged the gun unintentionally -- the wood panels were stained by oil, the slots on grip screws were marred by my screwdriver, and I sanded the trigger and safety lever to silver bright.
