Greetings to All:

Where these guys writing in the early days got their ammo performance numbers is quite a mystery to me, as I've reviewed all of the original German sources and have never seen any German Army Luger pistol ammo rated higher than 1,076 fps (out of a 100mm barrel) at 123 grains.

If you want to destroy your Luger, please feel free to shoot hot +P+ ammo through it, which won't even approach the figures quoted here.

One person creats a story, the rest repeat it. Total crap!!

The real problem can be traced to too short of OAL and powder charges not balanced to the weight of the recoil springs used.
