Default Damage to Shooter?

I have a 1917 DWM that I shoot a lot -- maybe too much. I've noticed some distortion on the receiver ears -- there's a "lip" that has formed where the toggle strikes the end of the ears. It's where the edges of the ears act to push the toggle up and unlock the action. The damage is minute, just a little distortion on the edge of the receiver where it's been mushed out of shape, but I wonder if anyone has encountered it before and if gun is still serviceable? Thanks guys, as always!
