I went to Outdoor World and they had soft lead fishing bullet weights. Brought in my digital caliper and went to work. The bags were zip lock and the salesman said help yourself!!!!!! I found 1 that was exactly .3095 and 1 that was around .330. I took the barrel off and put in leather and vise. Hoppy's #9 oil and slugged both. The average is .3095!!!!.
I can only find .309+ hard cast lead bullets from 1 supplier. Will this effect accuarcy alot and leading?????? Need input from the 30 Cal Pro's here. I can live with cleaning more often but the accuracy maybe bothersome. The jacketed are .309 and should shot good but I prefer lead hard cast. Cheaper and when I use to shot I shot alot of rounds. What do you'all think????? Any suppliers of hard lead cast please let me know, Thanks!!!!! ![]() |
