Default Moderator's advice accepted

I recently posted a thread saying I was going to have a 1914 DWM Luger refinished and I was admonished by a moderator ( I think Ron Wood) who said I should line up to be slapped aside the head by forum members for even considering such a thing. He suggested I go to the gunsmith and get the pistol back and keep the pistol in its original condition,

Well, that's exactly what I did today. I got my Luger back and got my money back. I now have a Mauser "Banner" on layaway to be delivered next month to join with my DWM. Both will remain in original condition. I don't need to get slapped aside the head to learn a lesson.
