Was invited to come out to the New Jersey Arms Collectors Club last night for a presentation on Lugers.
http://www.njacc.info/index.html Had a very nice time and don't think I embarassed myself at all. ![]() There were about 30 members and they were asked to bring their lugers and german pistols. Saw a couple of PP's and a nice PPK, 2 artillery's (a 1914 Erfurt and a 1918 DWM); a couple of 1900's, a 1936, a 1941 police and several others. No unit marked ones, although I really liked a 1916 that had a fairly nice 1911 holster with it. It was stamped with ink on the inside, I did not get a good look at it; as I was a bit busy talking to 4 or 5 people at a time. There was one PP that was almost new, army marked, that was in a black holster with a pull up strap like a luger and the body and shape was very robust and had the look of a luger. I offered to buy it form him, he declined, but he said he'd attempt to get digital pictures for me. Overall it was a very nice group and if you live in NJ, ought to join and go to their meetings. Ed
