Default Repair Small Chip in Grip?

Hello, I have a 1916 DWM Luger whose grip has a very small chip beneath and to the right of the safety lever. My question is can you give me the contacts to some fellow members willing to make the repair? Does this small chip effect value or is it just one wants it repaired to not have to look at it (as with me)?
I do have one more question. Should I consider cleaning the grips on an original piece or leave as is? Thank you, Jeff
