The grips came right off after I removed the screws and put a tiny bit of pressure on them from the inside of the mag space. After that, I can see where the small part I've saved does belong there. The only problem is, I removed the spring gently, touched it once or twice and it snapped right in half. Guess I'll need one of those springs -rb
