My guess would be a "new" extractor was added with a moderen day one that just was not machined correctly.

Cannot see such a piece passsing DWM or Swiss inspectors with their finite measuring gauges.

At the low price of only $ 3300 for a M1900 Swiss, I am inclined to think the straw on this piece may not have been reworked, but the blue has been redone, nicely.

Given the geographical region of this gun shop and the fact these are consignment pieces, I would think they come out of a fairly talented gun-smith and refinisher's shop that resides in this region of the USA.

Could also be a Swiss reblue, but I would have thought the Swiss would have used one of their own Bern-made reinforced extractors...
