Default Persian Luger

I was wondering if anyone knows by looking at the serial number on a Persian if you can tell where the guns been?What can you tell by the number?By the way the number is in Fausi.

The only thing that it tells is that the pistol was part of the contract to Persia. Any records after that would have been in Persia if records of disposition were kept, which is doubtful.

People that I have talked to have told me that they convert the Persian serial numbers by looking at the rear sight and then comparing it to that serial numbers on the frame.


Did you also get the stock? A friend of mine just bought a stock on ebay and the seller said that the stock had Persian markings on it. We have not received it yet but we are curious as to the difference between DWN markings and Persian makings? The stock has no iron on it.

George, the key to the history of your Persian is going to be in the translation of the special inscription that is engraved on the side. From the limited pictures of Persians that I have examined, that is unique. The serial range should be within a certain contract block (as I am sure that it is).
