Post 1914 22.R.R.M.G.48. What does this mean???

I have a 1914 DWM luger marked 22.R.R.M.G.48. What does this mean?

I took the liberty of posting this on another forum and the opinion was that this would be from a machine gun unit - to be sure I'd need to have a photo of the EXACT marking.

22 reserve (Assuming the R is slightly slanted) infantry regiment, machine gun company, pistol number 48.
