Hi Everybody,
I happened to see the following auction on eBay for a nice looking 1939 dated holster. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=36049 The waffenamt is partially visible and it appears the makers code designation is EKS. I thought the holster manufacturers started using the 3 letter codes in mid 1940. I couldn't even find the EKS code in Jan Still's Third Reich Lugers. As I looked at it closer it almost looks like a fourth letter (a partial P at the end?) I was considering putting a bid on it as I need a holster for my code 42 1939 P.08 but am somewhat hesitant. Any opinons would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike |

Hi Mike,
Both Bender and Whittington report a manufacturer abbreviation of EKST or EkSt or EK.St. It is Ehrhardt & Kirsten, Koffer & Lederwarenfabrik, Tauscha-Leipzig. I have seen this marking on P.08 holsters before. The WaA number should be 101. Regards, Leon |

I heard back from the seller and what follows is his reply: "Good day Sir. The marking looks to be F.K.S.P. Not sure what that indicates?
