Post John Walter's Books???

I have John Walter's "Luger". Is his newer book "The Luger Story"
an update of "Luger" or a new book altogether. I did see that he has
added the Aimco Lugers to the book...

Jonney C, IMHO "The Luger Story" is quite different. It's completely a narrative (few photos and reference material). If you would like to know the complete history of Luger developement from the Borchardt to today's stainless and Martz custom lugers, in a form that reads like a novel, this is the book for you. Johnny,

In addition to Tom Heller's suggestion, the Fred A. Datig book, The Luger Pistol, is also a good read about the historical perspective of the luger. Some info. is dated (as with all books that approach 30-40 years old), but Mr. Datig's story about meeting Georg Luger Jr. and August Weiss should not be missed.

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />
