Went to a show this past weekend there were a few Lugers for sale. I almost bought a nickeled 1936 S/42 with two mags an E/655 tool and ratty holster. Offered $600 and got an awfully mean look as he said he had an offer of $650. Sort of glad I didn't get it. Saw a 95% 1920 Commercial for $900. An Interarms Swiss 4" NIB $900. Ended up trading my Para P-12 for a Walther P-5. So at least the day wasn't a total loss!

I went to a gun show in Grand Rapids, Michigan this past weekend. The show was a near total waste of time. There is a guy at the first table by the enterence who has some nice Lugers "For Display Only" on two tables. I think that he is there to "Buy only". Gil Hoffman was there and was trying to sell him a 1939 S/42. I casually looked at the Luger and thought that it looked pretty nice. The guy at the table said that he had some nice artillery holsters and maybe some stocks at home so we exchanged email address'. Nothing at the rest of the show.

Kansas City show was the weekend of July 27th and again was a good show. Lots of Lugers for sale and some major dealers there. Saw some nice byf 41 and 42's for sale on tables and they sold fairly fast. A guy was reducing his collection and sold a lot of Lugers and pocket pistols which moves fairly fast on Saturday at our tables. Prices generally were decent with most people pricing high and then willing to dicker, but some where extremely high in my opinion with a 41/42 complete two matching magazine rig being priced at $5500. I was pleased and picked up a very nice complete G-date two matching magazine rig, a very crisp byf 41, and a canvas snail drum holder. Good show and I would recomment it. --
