Post Anyone know Russ?

Guys: Im thinking of doing some Luger business with Russ. He seems pretty well known here on the Board, and Im "checking references" before doing internet business. (An unpleasantry of modern life, alas. I prefer a life where we are good for, and taken at, our word! No aspersions implied.)
Anyone done business with Russ? Would be grateful for any helpful comments.. On the board or Email me at DunRanull@AOL.com
Thanks, Dun.

Dun,

Russ is one of the most stand-up, generous guys you will find. I've bought from him and traded with him, and taken advantage of good deals he has pointed out to me. He's someone I know as a friend.

He's one of the conspicuously great guys you will find in this hobby, and I recommend him to you unhesitatingly.

I have spent time with Russ, and trust him very much. If he has a luger as a shooter, it'll be a deal that you can live with.

Concur! Russ Withem is a stand-up guy... who will go out of his way to help you (unless of course he is bidding for something that he really wants on eBay! ...in that case then stand back... wish my pockets were as deep as his! )

(...Okay Russ, you can send me the money now ...)

Seriously, I have never heard a disparagin' word about Russ, whether on the internet, or the gunshow circuit...

I first met Russ in person at the Reno show, after talking to him on the forum. He is one of the most up front, and honest guys I've met. He helped me,( a novice beginning collector)in the purchase of my first collectable Luger. He also advised me on many others. And warned me away from questionable examples as well as dealers.
I would trade with Russ without a second thought. Besides, he's a home boy Oregonian. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Just kidding...his wife, Tina, sells the stuff...but he is as honest as a day is long...do not think you can go wrong buying a piece from Russ... <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

Thanks Guys. Just what I thought I would hear, considering the general tenor of this Board. I too have been impressed with just the comments Russ has made on the Boards, as well as in our E-mails. Now I have some deciding to do, as well as a bit of "wife-convincing"!

Oh... Sorry, I thought I was George there for a minute. <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Dun, No need to try to convince your wife. Just tell her what you're going to do... And then voluntarily move into the garage. Don't let'em push you around. Be a Man!!
Anybody got a spare bedroom I could rent? <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" />
