Post Roadkill and my visit

Well, I met RK in person again, visited Tenn., and drove over to see him. It was a very nice visit, his wife fed me spagetti that amazingly was like my wifes (a very nice complement!) and he showed me his collection of this and that. Really got some pointers on setting up items, and liked the way things were laid out!

He then took me out and let me shoot several of his guns, which was fun as hell!

Just had a great time, and him and his wife treated me great and we had a great talk or two!

Am new to the forum, and love the expertise here. Would love to know where RK lives in TN...approximate, as I value privacy myself.

I have a sad Luger story...

In 1967 I visited Mahoney's in Johnson City, TN. They had two Lugers; one a very nice "parts" gun for $79.95, the other a pristine AE (don't remember date), all matching, including mag, for $89.95. Guess which one I bought???

Shoot me!

Lugers are almost a sexual thing, aren't they? They have intrigued me all my life...

Glad you enjoyed the visit, Ed. By the way, for everyone else, the way you can tell if Ed has been in your house is that the kitchen sink is full of dishes, the dogs are upset, your guns are dirty, and your wife keeps asking "Now exactly where did you meet him?" (Ed did offer to clean the guns though) Wayne, I'm in Huntsville Al. Sort of. Welcome to the forum, and while I do have different opinions on things than most folks my attachment to my guns won't quite meet your description. I had an ugly dog once that was a little "confused" and became enamored with a John Deer tractor tire. Wasn't watching out one day and it was a crushing experience.

damn straight!

I'll do the dishes next time I come over, didn't want to appear to be rude and take over your house!

All,

Like Ed, I shared Roadkill's hospitality when I was in Huntsville, AL last summer. A true gentleman with a saint of a wife. Made me feel very welcome and gave me some tips about finding Lugers in North Alabama.

And yes, the dogs were butt-ugly!
