I agree! That's got to be very rare documentation. Thanks for sharing that with all of us. We all have "If only they could talk" Lugers that we own. Wish I knew a 10th as much about the original people that were associated with the Lugers whose care I am now entrusted with!

I agree with Ted and Rick, this is a great cover for this month. The composite is beautiful.

I must be in a time-warp as my home page is dated April 2001. Re the Luger of the month post card: other than the cig in soldier's right hand, what is his hand resting on? It must be heavy if a shoulder strap was required to hold it up. My only guess is perhaps a spare barrel for a MG08 or 13. If so he may have been part of the MG crew and perhaps his PO8 is so marked?

Default When in doubt - REFRESH!

I don't know how you accomplish a refresh of a page with WebTV but with a PC you hold down "control' and press the refresh or reload button on your browser. You problem is that the home page is in the cache memory of your webtv device. Figure out how to refresh or reload the page and that should fix you up Tom.

John, Thanks for your input, but being a computer illiterate I doubt that I could have accomplished your instructions even if my machine had the capability. Today, WEBTV finally picked up the correct Luger of the month. Perhaps the fact that I alway skip to the message board before TLOTM paints in completely had something to do with it.

Thnks to all of you great guys, I must admit, I got a bit carried away with all the Nazi, and pre-Nazi goodies strewn around my Luger. I probably should have deleted some of the stuff in the pix. But, thanks for all the good comments...my best to you all!
