Post Brian Garfield's "Death Sentence"

after "Death Wish" had a .45 Luger in another vigilante's hand.
Now I wonder why the facts (one .45 Luger) are in difference to the post about a casual shooter that wants to sell a ".45 Caliber Luger" to the poster.
Help me to understand.
I am a novice.

I figured a .45 Luger was really too rare to discuss on a forum.
I thought the inquisitor was truly uninformed and off base.

Mr. Tinker,
It is illegal to drink and type!
I am trying to fit your post as a reply to John St's post and it makes my head hurt.
I could only understand the context of your ramblings after the 3rd shot of Jack Daniels. (And my head still hurts!)

John St's statements are profound! But I cannot find where he posted them.
Maybe Edward T and tacfoley can read between the lines and I must be spoken to bluntly.

Not in the least.
And I am confounded by the succeeding comments also.
I am a simple man.

As am I Wes, ... I don't think that this was ever in question

sign me totally confused... should I just delete this message thread and you guys could start over from the beginning and work a little harder on clarity of purpose and the desired information?

<img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" /> and Wes, here is another one of those little emoticons that I was informed that you love so much

I thought it was simple as I read all of Garfield since "Death Wish".

The .45 Luger is rare enough for all of us to admire without false information.

I do not have a .45 Luger.

If I ever see one, I will check it out.

If I can buy it, I will.

And I will.

Anyone here own one that they want to sell?

Brian Garfield wrote the books "Death Wish" and "Death Sentence" in the 1970s. They became the movies Death Wish and Death Wish 2 (3,etc) starring Charles Bronson as the vigilante. In the second book of the series Garfield introduces a second vigilante who uses a .45 Luger to snuff the perps and criminals.
That was my original reference to Brian Garfield--sorry, I assumed all knew about the books/movies.

Why have I read this far? Ralph Shattuck has a 45 Luger Carbine for sale, a mere $1,000,000, not bad, it looks really nice.

Wasn't that a.45 Wildey that was used in that movie?

Haven't seen it in years,so I was just wondering.

I like the sequences when he loaded his own rounds for that WILDEY and then proceeded to "range test it". Can you believe he will be 82 years old in Nov of this year.

The History Channel did a show on desirable weapons, and the one 45 Luger sold for a million dollars recently at auction. At least I think that is what I saw and retained.............
