Banging on something

Things have been a little slow around here lately so thought I would ask what ya think? I put around 25/30 rounds down range and all the shells I could find looked like these...What is the problem and will this cause other problems?

As far as I know, you do not have a problem. The shells you show are not atypical for cartridges ejected from a Luger, in fact they are fairly common. The geometry of the extractor/ejector system of the Luger sometimes causes the shell casing to slam into the left side of the receiver upon ejection. If you reload, just use a neck resizing die...if you don't reload, no worries

Sometimes you can change the angle of the blade of the ejetor a little and improve it, sometimes
not.

If you don't reload, and maybe even if you do- not a big problem; but those steel cases are Berdan anyway- so I doubt you will
be reloading them.

I have re loaded steel cases with success. May or may not be the thing to do though..wouldn't want to do the same case many times.

VERY typical of ejected cases from a Luger. They put a small triangle mark in the case beginning at the mouth and becoming narrower as the mark goes downward.

It's not a problem and if the cases are brass or nickle plated, they will reload just as easily as any other fired 9mm case.

My 06/73 Mauser produces spent cases like those more so than my other Lugers. The cases reload without problems.
