Default Navy Mags

I picked these mags up recently. The third one is actually an early commercial with an early concentric base to denote it is 9 mm. The first two are Navy Mags. One has concentric rings on base and the other has a dished non-concentric base.

A special thanks to Keoki for helping me figure out what I had exactly.

I may sell them on eBay or gunbroker, but wanted to post some pics here first in case a member was looking for this particular number or a similar mag, and had something to trade. Just let me know through a PM. Thanks.

Both #2 and 3 have been changed to the very late WWII type zig-zag spring.

Mag #2 has an Erfurt tube, the base looks OK.

Or is it a DWM prior to the dimple change to halfmoon/crescent shape?

Erfurt tubes had rectangular stake marks, the marks on early DWM tubes were trapezoidal.

Just examined about six of my early DWM mags and don't see the difference. Maybe it's my eyes.

I think #2 also has the Erfurt style serrations on the button.

Don, Did you notice how the follower button on #3 is so much higher than 1 & 2?

Jerry,
it sure looks like it, I "think" #2 is the lowest, then #1 and #3 as you point out is the highest; which would "normally" indicate a later magazine body- I think.

Magazines are a world unto themselves, esp. the early ones.
