Working on restoring an old luger and noticed today that the locking bolt spring is partially missing. There is a little tab left (not enough to grab) and from the bottom I can not find the hole that the spring sits in to punch it out. I thing this tab of spring that is left is the original and fitted so well that there is no visible marks showing the hole.

it is a fairly obvious or should be?
perhaps someone filled it in once? But no idea why anyone would do that...

It's just to the left of dead center on your circle? I think? ...You need to fabricate a correct dia. (undersized) pin punch, but it has to be very short... just enough to move the remnant spring tang.. once loose, you can push it out with anything?... GT....

You can punch it slightly from the inside, until it becomes visable on the outside of the frame for more accurate removal. TH
