Default Finally, won a Sturgess pistol

It's not easy to win a Sturgess pistol, but finally I won one today -- Chinese Taku C96 copy. Not dirt cheap... will cost me about $1500 after all cost counted, but it's all matching. Only two guys competed on it. Not hot.

I have been looking for a representative Chinese C96 copy for a while. Finally, this one comes. Chinese guns are just like this... no rust no pits, but its bluing technology was poor, so it lost almost all blue, becoming a "white gun".

Having a couple of these in collection is not bad. So far I am happy.

Posts like this remind me that I need to add a C96 to my collection relatively soon. Congrats on your new acquisition!

Thanks!!

For non-dedicated C96 collector to add a C96 into collection, should go Mauser though. Chinese copy and Spanish copy are interesting, but only after having Mauser -- because Mauser was the original design, that's the main trunk. Copies are just branches.
