I know that there was a lot of tension between Hungarian Arrow Cross and German Nazis etc.. during the wars. Officially Hungary was an ally during both wars, even if not always willing. I googled the topic and found a Luger for sale that included a Arrow Cross armband but I did not find any information pertaining to Hungarians ever being issued Lugers. I would assume that they would have the Frommer WWI and Femeru WWII. However, they made and used the Mauser 98 WWII, and I have plenty of Nazi marked 8x56R ammo. Can anyone tell me if Hungarian Lugers exist? If so what would the markings look like?

There is no record of a Luger specifically manufactured and marked for Hungarian use. But now that you have raised the question do not be surprised if some enterprising individual "creates" a rare Hungarian variation!

This is why I ask those that know. I didn't want to come across a luger with an 02 stamped or some crest I don't recognize and be talked into it being a Hungarian pistol.
I went and looked at a "hungarian sks". I have heard that a few exist but that they are like hens teeth. Once I saw the rifle I thought it was a yugo. Questioned the seller. He replied that it "might be a yugo, they are the same thing". Anyway, thank you for the info |

After Ron's answer I don't think one can add much but as far as I know I've never heard of an "Hungarian type" of Luger, but these guns might have ben used by he Hungarian Army before and during the WWII. My 2 cents Rgds Sergio

![]() What did the Hungarian Army use for a large caliber sidearm, in either of the Great Wars??? My SAOTW only lists the Model 37, in 32ACP and 380ACP, during WW II.
