First of all welcome to this forum of Luger enthusiasts.

I think you should know what you are looking for , in other words do you want something pricey to start a collection with, or just a good gun to use sometimes at the range?
The luger pictured above looks quite good although there would be some things to inspect more deeply, I don't think I've seen any price about it.

If I were you, I would look for something more "crappy" but probably it's not the right word, I mean some mismatched 1942 P.08 (Russian war booty) to use at the range and start making some good practice with it.
FWIW

Sergio

I only shoot my collector pistols to check funtion. I do want a nice example p08 for my ww2 pistol collection. what I am looking for will
not have to be rare or highly collectable, just correct and in good condition( no rust, no corroded bore, not re blued, not banged up, and most of its finish left.) not looking for matching magazines or a perfect holster. this luger is listed on another forum as wtt for a 1911 a1 ithaca pistol. I am considering trading my 1944 origonal ithaca for this rig if it fits what I described above.

I will vouch that Dave Z. is a great fellow to do business (41/42 listed below) with, although his prices are always ridiculously high (just kidding).

I would not trade an Ithaca 1911A1 for the pistol in your OP. Unless the Ithaca is in rough shape.
Maybe a Rand.
