Default Hello

I thought this would be as good a place as any to introduce myself......I hope that is alright. My Finnish Mosin Nagant collection is well on its way, so I thought I'd start a WW1 collection in conjunction with that anniversary. To start off "The Great War" +100, I acquired (or at least won and paid for) a 1916 DWM P08. I'm hoping this forum will educate me in the nuances of Luger Collecting like the Russian MN board did for those weapons.

I have ALWAYS wanted a Luger, and now, after 62 years, I can finally afford to buy at least one!

I should receive it sometime next week (its coming from FL). When it arrives, I'll take some pictures and show her off.

This looks to be an interesting four years.

Hi Michael and welcome to the forum, there's no doubt in my mind you have come to the right place to learn about Luger's but be warned, as many members will tell you they can be extremely addictive.

It's a nice way to remember the Great War Centennial!
Welcome and congratulations for your first Luger.

I know about addiction - I've acquired eight Finn MNs since November, and I "need" at least three more. Thinking about the pistol today, my thought was perhaps to collect a DWM for each year from 1914 thru 1918. Not a large collection, but significant.

I'm looking forward to immersing myself in this new project.

hey SFC Berk, welcome to the forum

Well, actually, you should round off the collection by getting the state armories lugers too, Erfurts, 1911-1918
