I was looking at the various P08's/Lugers on Legacy Collectible's Web site and they have a 1937 Mauser K42 with all matching numbers including the magazine. When you look at the barrel besides ther serial number there is another number that looks like 8, 86 or 8186. Does anybody know what this is?

That is the land-to-land diameter of the barrel. It varies, but is usually 8,8x. It is a comma, not a decimal point, between the two "8"s.
