Music of the WW-II Era: V-Disks

Not related to Lugers, but rather to the WW-II era...

I recently found a collection of over 900 recordings on .mp3 files transferred from US Army "V-Disks".

These were recordings specially made for distribution to US forces overseas, and contain performances of some of the most famous artists of the era.

You can listen to them online, or download .zip files that contain 100 recordings each.

I have always liked the drinking song sung by the German submariners in the movie "The Enemy Below"...

But they sang it in English, and it rhymed...How is that possible???

Edit: OK, I found it...The lyrics were written for the movie...
