I would like to purchase my first Luger. What would be the best type to buy with a budget of $1500.00?

Dale, first decide if you want one to have fun with. Take out and shoot, then you can get one for around $450 to $600.
If you are looking at a nice collectable and you shoot it, and break a part, then the price (value) drops dramatically. You can get collectables for $600 and up, with many nice Lugers for $900 - $1200. Go to the left and click on links. Shattucks or Simpsons has many guns available in those prices. Ed |

I'm looking for an investment.
I was told that a 1906 American Eagle or a pre-WW1 DWM were good by some and by others that K ,G dated or a Black Widow were better. I really don't have a preferance. Dale |

Of those mentioned, I would go for the 1906 American Eagle,

I vote for the American Eagle---has been popular forever--It is both German and American history-----and is surely politically correct!!!!
