FYI, I recently had a good experience with the services of Sergy Laylko at rustbluing@yahoo.com. Sergey was very nice to deal with and turnaround was 3 weeks. Work was as good as any I have seen. He is not a Luger specialist but is capable of doing any finish you require.
Pictures attached of my shooting broomhandle, rebarrelled for 9mm and extensively restored/rebuilt. I painted the milled out sections with teflon/moly oven cure finish to hide some minor rust pitting - didn't want to remove any more metal in the interest of strength. Sights were zeroed at Bolsa Gunsmithing, came out pretty good if a little expensive for a shooter. |

Good looking shooter. Looks like Sergey did a good job. Did he do any metalwork or just the blue.

First, I misspelled Sergey's name it is Lyalko, his website is http://rustbluing.com/index.html. He did a beautiful job of cleaning up some rough spots, edges are crisp. No marking enhancements. This is a barrel cutoff and replacement/reline done years ago by Federal Ordnance for a family member; sold through Briklee Trading Company to someone who didn't know any better, namely me. Over the years parts have been replaced and fitted until it functioned reliably, sights were zeroed by moving the rear aperture and adding height to the front sight, and finally finished to what you see now.
