A friend of mine who collects old American rifles once found a $20 gold coin behind the buttplate of a Winchester. Now he checks all the rifles he get's his hands on.

How to sell a gold coin? I got a 24K tiny one (nickl size) and want to sell it by weight, not by collector. Need any certification?

Most pawn and coin shops buy by weight. They will likely test it for gold content though and they will pay at your discount.
