Default Arty with pouch + questions

Hallo all

this came today across.....same marker on both items....

R.Nagel & Co from Bielefeld and the year 1915

complete with tool and rod, both are imperial marked

now my first questions....are this markings Erfurt marks ( Crown over Letter ) ??

look at the loops and the front from the arty one, i think this is old repaired or changed.

thanks for your opinions

regards t.

The markings on the two tools are not necessarily Erfurt but rather simply Imperial army marked. The holster was modified for belt wear probably long after the war. The magazine pouch is all original and correct. One rarely sees the mag pouches dyed black.

Probably urban myth but I have been told black was the color officers used. I have Imperial holsters that started out brown but later were dyed black but they have Weimar markings added.

Interesting conversion to a belt carry type with altered closing strap.
