Default Recommended Restorer

Dear Friends,

I've just acquired a couple of pistols from an estate of a fellow collector. Unfortunately the guns suffered some flood damage from a recent hurricane. The metal on these guns is not pitted but the finish compromised in several areas.

The pistols are an HSC and a P38 and I would like to have them restored as the collector was a good friend and I do not intend on ever selling the guns. I tried looking for a good restoration person on the P38 forum but no one responded.

Would you all have any recommendations on a first class restoration person?

Thank You

I have had Ken do some rust blue work for me and I was very pleased. He was more than fair and quick to boot. I suspect that will change if the word gets out and he will be swamped like all the rest!

I also recomment Ken Karsted, particularly for Walther restoration. He's the only one that I know who can redo the slide ledgend the original way. TH
