I'm sorry to bother you folks, but I need some help getting familiar with a Lugar a guy in m area is selling. I have searched the technical data for identifying proof marks and such, but I'm lost. I was hoping someone could look at the following pics and explain to me what the various markings represent along with the significance of these particular serial numbers. How does one determine the year of the gun?

The date should be stamped on the top like in the pictures below this gun is from 1914.

Buffed hard, reblued parts gun with aftermarket grips & what looks like an aftermarket mag. Hard to tell anything else from the photo's.
Might make a shooter..$5-600, not anything a collector would want. Jerry Burney
